We feel that the best thing we can do when choosing wines for the shop is act as your eyes and ears (and taste buds!). With so much wine out there, we like to think of ourselves as a filter, bringing you what best represents each major region or varietal, at prices we can all afford. We support producers who treat our earth gently and we particularly enjoy buying wines from winemakers who have an inspiring vision. We listen to what’s out there and we’re aware of the latest wine trends, but we also listen to you! We have fun hearing about what you love and what you’re looking for, and then matching your occasion with a perfect bottle (or two!). It is our goal to send you home with something you love every time!
Free Wine Tasting this Saturday July 31st 3-6pm
Great values from Argentina!
Argentina is regarded as one of the most dynamic wine-producing nations in the world, and possibly the most important wine-producing region in South America. It is ranked fourth in total volume and is consistently credited as offering some of the best wine values around!
Weinert Carrascal Blanco- A unique blend of Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc, this wine tastes like a standout Loire Valley blend, but, lo and behold, it hails from Argentina. The flavors are slightly oxidized with a honeyed, nutty profile, with the zesty citrus of the Sauvignon Blanc sneaking up from the rear. A can't-miss wine for serious white fans!
Weinert Carrascal Rojo- This Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Merlot blend has a well-developed bouquet, combining a touch of oak for its aging of 2 years in French oak casks, with ripe red fruits. Harmonious, smooth, flexible and with a deep flavor, it is a well-balanced wine with just the right level of acidity to keep it lively and rounded. “One of the best under $15 red blends being made today”-Wine Enthusiast. “Bodegas Weinert is producing South America’s greatest red wines.”-Robert Parker
Vila Bonarda- Deep ruby in color, with a complex nose of spicy, red fruit, this well-balanced Bonarda has soft, supple tannins on the palate, ending with a long, lingering finish. Would pair well with a variety of flavorful, stewed dishes including ratatouille, chili, and osso buco.
